Fire Ants Softball Kick Off 2026 on the Road

SUMTER, S.C. (Athletics) – The USC Sumter Fire Ants softball team opens the 2026 season on the road with a doubleheader against East Georgia State College on Friday, February 6, in Swainsboro, Georgia. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 p.m., with game two to follow at 2:00 p.m. at East Georgia State College.

The Fire Ants enter opening day eager to set the tone for the season, kicking off a competitive non-conference slate against a familiar regional opponent. The doubleheader marks the first opportunity for the team to showcase its offseason preparation, returning contributors, and new additions to the roster.
