The Fire Ants Men and Women traveled to Statesboro, GA to compete in the Georgia Southern Relays
Fire Ants Rack-up More Personal Bests as Aden Newkirk wins the 100M
Ethan Morris started off Day 1 in the discus tossing for a personal best (PB) and a third-place finish. The Fire Ant sprinters had an outstanding showing in the 200M with Aden Newkirk finishing third overall with a PB of 21.98 seconds. Tariq Jones, Isaiah Chaisson, and Antonio Bing-Cannon finished 1, 2 & 3 in their heat, followed closely by Naydeen Myers and Kyheeme Lee., with Bing-Cannon, Myers, and Lee all setting new PBs. Building on the excitement of Day 1, the second day started with Morris throwing the shot put, again finishing third with another PB. Irvin Forkpa and Trendon Johnson then opened the track events with Forkpa earning a PB in the 800M finishing fifth overall. The standout moment for the men came in the 100M as Newkirk was the overall winner setting a new PB standard. Chaisson was fifth followed by Bing-Cannon, Myers in PB time, and Lee. Jones finished the Fire Ant's events in the 400M racing to an overall fifth place against a speedy field.
