Sumter, SC — The USC Sumter Athletics Department is proud to announce that seven standout sophomore tennis players will be continuing their academic and athletic journeys at four-year institutions across the country—and around the world.
These student-athletes have not only excelled on the court but have also demonstrated leadership, resilience, and academic commitment during their time at USC Sumter. Their next chapter reflects the strength of the Fire Ants tennis program and the global reach of its impact.
Meet the Future Stars
- Gian Rodriguez
From Ecuador to Texas, Gian will be joining Lubbock Christian University, bringing his competitive edge and international flair to the Lone Star State. - Maeva Chambon
From France, Maeva will attend Our Lady of the Lake University in Texas, where she'll contribute her skill and knowledge to a growing program. - Andre Dogbefu
Hailing from Togo, Africa, Andre is set to attend Coppin State University in Maryland, where he'll continue to grow as a scholar-athlete in a vibrant urban setting. - Laura Kotala
Laura, from Germany, will be joining Post University in Connecticut, continuing her academic and athletic excellence in the Northeast. - Stanley Long
A native of New Zealand, Stanley will stay close to USC Sumter as he joins Anderson University in South Carolina, continuing his journey in a familiar region. - Serena Alvarado
Serena, from Argentina, will take her talents to Salem University in West Virginia, adding depth and international experience to their roster. - Jakob Sevick
Representing Slovakia, Jakob will head north to Spring Arbor University in Michigan, bringing his precision and passion to the Midwest.
